The jewel in the crown of our natural spaces, the Sacy marshes are a vast wetland and peatland (1000 ha) considered to be the only peatland of national interest in the Oise region of this size and in this state of conservation. These marshes are home to numerous plant and animal species of heritage interest, including the Little Bittern and the Starry Bittern. The forest trail is an interpretation trail, open to visitors all year round, which encourages them to discover a wet forest-type ecosystem thanks to : 1) The 10-metre-high observation tower, offering a panoramic view of the Sacy marshes. 2) The pond observatory, home to the great crested newt, frogs, etc. and various educational facilities along the 1,000-metre loop. The site is managed by the Conservatoire d'espaces naturels des Hauts-de-France and belongs to the Conseil départemental de l'Oise.
