A royal legacy, this beech and oak forest was hunted from the time of Clovis until the French Revolution. The forest owes its roads and posts to hunting, including the Grand Master's post, which is the starting point for this trail. You'll discover a wealth of historical evidence dating back to the Neolithic period. The highlight of the trail is the Gallo-Roman temple at l'Ognon (1st-4th century) dedicated to the healing gods (numerous artefacts preserved in the Senlis Museum of Art and Archaeology).
